    Past
the past of a hurt, once so freshly open
now the scar only faintly pulses in memory
suddenly you feel as though you have finally picked yourself up
wiped off the dirt, slid off the old pain
but the scar stays pink and vulnerable to touch
you take care not to press upond it, or test it
then he comes back, ripping it in one swipe
suddenly the wound breathes in open air
throbbing with pain, addiction, but mostly longing
that hopefully, this time, it will be he who heals it
not you, that has to wait for the scar to take over
and mute those bare feelings once again awakened
to your own disappointment, again and again
the budding scar gets torn so rough it can never truly heal
and pain becomes addictive, but mostly expected
after a while you smile as you see him approach
he who is ready to tear with vigor the poorly protected scar
    he does this
    knowing he'll be its undoing
knowing it'll come off so easily for
    him

    Ekphrastic poetry
    contrasts of the inexplicable
but more like of the inevitable
    the grueosome paired with beauty
    or joy shared with pain

all amidst the hues of green
    and pales of white
    true colors of loving nature
    underly the screams of fate
one trapped in a fog so thick

    stabbing wounds proudly
trumpet with the rush of flowers
so come from the pain, a pretty pink
adrift so gently from the bares of his back

    another choking, desperately losing breathe
    acry stuck, so deep inside
yet as the dormant cry touches the whisper of air
    lillies, daisies, flowers galore
    meet sight

    Yet the lines of anguish
    barely seen, barely there
    still they stay hiding, elusive
    behind the bright roaring colors

    so horribly, delightfully
    combined
    a horror so beautiful that
    one can only mind

    the Outside
    dull bleak noises of
    the outside filtering in
    you step outside
    unmuted sounds, oblique
    skin meets asphalt
    with the collide
    of blood and pebbles
    broken flesh cries
    flashing red amidst the gray
    smudged legs, bruised pride
    a skinned knee

    Sounds of A Self Portrait
    Clutters of clashes
    clashes of chaos
    inside the noises fight
    recklessly luod with abandon
    crushing crashing with collision
    nails grating with passion
    a punch with force
    the pitch of anguish
    with the friction of heat

    Even within the noisy din
    reveals the tenor of integrity
    and straying sounds
    of children's laughter
    still hanging over head
and the chime of a rusty love tune
    of a past romance
    and the peaceful silence
of a well thought out word
    all these different notes create
a melody well played off one another
    resulting in a beautiful blend
    of harmony

    a Storm
rainy skies so dark with lies
    caught within the tension
    of release
    so full and aching
    pent up with passion
    but nowhere to go
    with misguided feelings
    to wherever they'll blow
    thunder and lightening
    scream with raw strength
    hiding a soft and broken
    voice just waiting
    to be woken
    at the first sight
    of dawn

Falling Asleep Under the Apple Trees
    Wind in your hair
    dirt in your mouth
    dreams in your head
this is when you think about
as thoughts filter in from the
    blue depths of above
    of the timeless feeling of
    the world in its place
    the world in love
    the world full of hate
the world just as it is

you and i know the secret
to life yet we close our eyes
    breathing in the air
falling asleep under the apple trees
    falling asleep
    pausing the world
    just for one moment
    one moment

    straying sounds
    with children's laughter
    still hanging over us
    a joy so unspeakable
    it washes over
    crashing upon us

you and i know the secret
to lifeyet we close our eyes
    breathing in the air
falling asleep under the apple trees
    falling asleep
    pausing the world
    just for one moment
    one moment

    then we awake
    a beauty awakening
    from its slumber
    a dream too
    beautiful to be true
    a blink of an eye
    reality changes
    turning purple to blue
    distortion of all you
    ever thought to be true
    painfully later we see
    and we remember of
falling asleep under the apple trees

you and i know the secret
to life yet we close our eyes
    breathing in the air
falling asleep under the apple trees
    falling asleep
    pausing the world

    MASTERCARD WEDDING

You got to love this guy... This is a true story about a recent wedding that took place at Clemson University.
It was in the local newspaper and even Jay Leno mentionedit. It was a huge wedding with about 300 guests.

After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage with a microphone to talk to the crowd.

He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding.

He especially wanted to thank the bride's and his family and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a lavish reception.

As a token of his deep appreciation he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him.

So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party was an envelope.

He said this was his gift to everyone, and asked them to open their envelope.

Inside each manila envelope was an 8x10 glossy of his bride having sex with the best man.

The groom had gotten suspicious of them weeks earlier and had hired a private detective to tail them.

After just standing there, just watching the guests' reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man and said, "F--- you!" Then he turned to his bride and said, "F--- you!"

Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd and said, "I'm outta here."

He had the marriage annulled first thing in the morning.

While most people would have canceled the wedding immediately after finding out about the affair, this guy goes through with the charade, as if nothing were wrong.

His revenge--making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for a 300 guest wedding and reception, and best of all, trashing the bride's and best man's reputations in front of 300 friends and family members.

This guy has balls the size of church bells.

Do you think we might get a MasterCard "priceless" commercial out of this?

Elegant wedding reception for 300 family members and friends: $32,000.

Wedding photographs commemorating the Occasion: $3,000.

Deluxe two week honeymoon accommodations in Maui: $8,500.

The look on everyone's face when they see the 8x10 glossy of the bride humping the best man: Priceless.

There are some things money can't buy, for everything else there's MASTERCARD!

the old say young don't know about love
the young say old have forgotten to love
they say the young are too young
    to possibly understand
    the eloquence the simplicity
    that love incites
love is just a new rage
    what the young experience
    is lust they say
they say the old are too old
    they've lost their minds
    the excitement drained
    the passion gone
    to them love is something
    that happened in the past
the old say young don't know about love
the young say old have forgotten to love
but could perhaps that it could be that
    no matter the age
    there's no way to gauge
a person's understanding of the heart

    but now barely scarred

    thoughts filtering through
making the way in the light
    making you wonder
    fantasy or flight?
    was it real?
    was it possible?
to have had something so right
    yet so afraid to touch
    a smudge too much
    a glance off cue
    takes it askew
    yet all in the past
these things have come and at last
    now we take the time
    a memory so strong
    to reminisce and enjoy
the fairy tale of a song

    Emotion: Happiness
    Project #1
Each time take a different emotion
and emphasize it through a short story
without every having to use the word
    continuing the story each time

"I did it i did it i made it!" All those days, weeks, and months of hard work. THe plannign the aching studying and the horrifying nights. The excruciatingly painful sacrifices that took every inch of herself to do. It finally paid of. She had made it into the top 5 percentage in the PSAT qualifying for the national merit award. Overwhelming feelings of joy compressed her heart until it was hard to breathe. She felt so free, after being in a prison of restriction for months. She had put herself on a *fun* diet. For every hour she studied she could go out for half an hour. Her usually uplifting cheery spirit had been absolutely crushed when she had made this rule. She had walked in an almost depressive maniac manner for months. Depriving herself of the usual carefree fun and joy, was torture for her soul. BUt now it all paid off. Nobody else in her entire school had made it except for her. The feeling of accomplishment uplifted her to a whole different world. The feelings of swirling about her thoughts made her truly feel like she could touch the sky that had no limits. She felt limitless, nothing could tie her down now. She saw him, he was over by his car. She ran and jumped into hism arms whispering, "I did it i did it i made it!" Here was someone she could share this wonderful moment with. She looked into his eyes but what she didn't notice was how his eyes looked back at hers almost melancholy. He saw eyes that were blinded by self ambition and that scorned all else. Why was she with a guy like him then? A high school dropout.
